The second Invitation -- Mauricio Artur Berger on the Priesthood

The Second Invitation refers to the renewal of the Restoration issued by the heavens in the visitation of Mauricio Artur Berger by the Angels Rafael (portent of destruction) and Moroni (holding healing salve of salvation), the Jerusalem Apostles, the Nephite Apostles, and the heavenly host with a commission of care for the setting of the Lord’s hand in this Second Invitation to the wedding supper of the Lord.”

The translator of the Sealed Book of Mormon, Mauricio A. Berger is a seer in southern Brazil.

In 1998, he encountered the LDS missionaries for the first time and received a copy of the Book of Mormon. Upon reading it he felt he had to know if it was true, so he went to a grove of trees behind the University of Santa Maria, RS, Brazil, and prayed to know. The angel Raphael appeared to him! He immediately joined the LDS Church.

On 6 Apr 2007 Mauricio was near his home town of Agudo and prayed for more answers. The angel Raphael again appeared to him, with others. They all ascended Mt. Agudo, and at the top Raphael left Mauricio alone at the top, after which the Angel Moroni appeared to him. The angel showed him the gold Plates of Mormon, which had been used by Joseph Smith to translate the unsealed portion into the Book of Mormon, as well as the interpreters and the sword of Laban.

The following is from the World Conference of the Second Invitation, November 2022:-

“As the precepts, traditions, and agendas of mankind continued the onslaught against the truth, the keys of the Dispensation of the Fulness of times had disappated and were lost to the restoration as a whole. Yes, the abominations of desolations in world thinking had all but extinguished the light of truth in the Zion thinkers. When this happened, the Lord set his hand a second time in a marvelous work and wonder (2Ne11:28-29 or 2Ne25:17). The Sealed Book brings forth this to our understanding when the keys of the High Priesthood functions have disapated.” 7th World Conference of the Second Invitation, November 2022

The following is from a talk by Mauricio Berger on the Rstoration of the Priesthood:-

“We know that under heaven's directive the priesthood was restored under the head of this one who speaks to you today, in fulfillment of the prophesies in Doctrine and Covenants 86:8-10

"Therefore, thus saith the Lord unto you, with whom the priesthood hath continued through the lineage of your fathers; For ye are lawful heirs, according to the flesh, and have been hid from the world with Christ in God. Therefore your life and the priesthood have remained, and must needs remain through you and your lineage until the restoration of all things spoken by the mouths of all the holy prophets since the world began."

And section 113.6-8:

"Behold, thus saith the Lord, it is a descendant of Jesse, as well as of Joseph, unto whom rightly belongs the priesthood, and the keys of the kingdom, for an ensign, and for the gathering of my people in the last days.

Questions by Elias Higbee: What is meant by the command in Isaiah, 52nd chapter, 1st verse, which saith: Put on thy strength, O Zion—and what people had Isaiah reference to?

Reply:- He had reference to those whom God should call in the last days, who should hold the power of priesthood to bring again Zion, and the redemption of Israel; and to put on her strength is to put on the authority of the priesthood, which she, Zion, has a right to by lineage; also to return to that power which she had lost. Which mention that "the priesthood will remain hid in the seed of Joseph", to be restored upon the head "of those whom God would call in the last days to redeem Zion, and to put on the true authority of the Priesthood, to which Zion is entitled by lineage, in order to return to the power which she had lost". This prophesy was fulfilled, when the priesthood was confirmed upon me by the unbroken lineage of Joseph Smith Junior, when the laid hands of his great gandson Joseph Frederick Smith rested upon my head, whose priesthood it remained hidden from the generations who have neglected their keys and authority, and that after this, in accordance with D&C 77:11:

Q. What are we to understand by sealing the one hundred and forty-four thousand, out of all the tribes of Israel—twelve thousand out of every tribe?

A. We are to understand that those who are sealed are high priests, ordained unto the holy order of God, to administer the everlasting gospel; for they are they who are ordained out of every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, by the angels to whom is given power over the nations of the earth, to bring as many as will come to the church of the Firstborn."

(The one) who now speaks to you was ordained to the high priesthood by the hand of an angel from heaven, and in fulfillment of the prophesy of Isaiah 43:9 which says:-

"Let their witnesses come forward so that they can be justified and say: This is true".
